چکیده مقاله:

Verrucous carcinoma is a peculiar type of squamous cell carcinoma characterized by a clinicopathological behavior. This neoplasm is grossly cauliflower, warty, or parachute in shape, slowly growing and pushing the adjucent tissue without a definite invasion. Rarely causing metastasis. This tumor is radioresistant and the choice treatment is surgery. Histological features resemble the papilloma and is easily misdiagnosed as a benign lesion. Clinicians and pathologists should be alert and correlate clinicohistological findings in order to make a proper diagnosis. A case of verrucous carcinoma of cervix is being reported and literatures are briefly reviewed.
